IR sensor beams can protect body parts from being injured while working on any machine

The IR sensor safety guards for machines are light curtains based on micro-controller technology for the protection of hands, fingers and other parts of the body at the time of the working of any machine on a factory floor. These are available in two types, namely, the parallel beam type and cross beam type. These safety guards are most suitable for people working on power presses for metal or processing machines for wood, plastic, leather, rubber, glass etc. They are also suitable for filter presses, folding or bending machines, robots, processing lines, welding presses, inserting machines, pelletizers, handling and storage systems, SPMs, rubber moulding machines, injection moulding machines, etc. These are available in beam sizes of 4, 6, 8, 10, 16, 24 and 32 with protected height of 90 to 1,710 mm. The response time of cut-on is 10 to 15 milliseconds. They can easily be connected with 230 volt operated systems as well as used directly when connected with a PLC system.
